PostSubject: My Mealworm Experiment[Updated March 9th]   Sun Mar 07, 2010 8:53 pm

March 7th/2010/Day#1-Okay so i'm going to try something diffrent.I've heard that if you seperate you get more outcome,so i'm going to test that i'll have one colony which i'll seperate and one that i don't and see if it makes a diffrence. If it does i'll continue to do so if it isn't well i'll still do it as i'm bored in the winter time.I so far have the one colony which i'll call the "Feeders"in a big storage box with oats, ceral, cardboard and a potatoe. For the other colony called the "Pets" I have them in a small container with just some carrot and lettuce.I also have the pupae[Of which i have 8] in a small jar.I'll keep you updated

They are doing well there mealwormguy.
Now for the update:
March 9th/2010-Day#3I have decided to just leave the mealworms alone in a huge enclosure so i can just use them as feeders. The pupae are now my pets.I have around 10+ pupae now haven't officailly counted them yet though.I've also noticed something pretty amazing, I think female pupae are bigger then male pupae.I hope this is true because that means i have around 8 females!I'll continue to keep everyone updated.
